Etsy listing photo resizer
Listing photos at Etsy's recommended 2000 px shortest side, background removed, product cleanly centered. Processed in batch, full resolution, free.
Etsy listing photo requirements (2026)
Etsy is less strict than Amazon, but its recommendations directly affect how your listings look in search, on the listing page and in zoom:
| Recommendation | Value |
|---|---|
| Size | 2000 px on the shortest side |
| First photo minimum | At least 635 px wide, or search ranks it lower |
| File weight | Under 1 MB for fast uploads |
| Formats | JPG, PNG or GIF |
| Framing | Photos should survive square and rectangular crops |
What the Etsy preset does
The preset above keeps your photo's aspect ratio and scales it so the shortest side is exactly 2000 px, Etsy's own recommendation. The background is removed and replaced with clean white, the product is centered with even margins, and the JPEG is encoded at a quality tuned to stay near the 1 MB best-practice weight.
Everything runs in your browser: the photo is decoded, segmented and re-encoded on your machine. No upload, no account, no watermark.
Why centered framing matters on Etsy
Etsy reuses your listing photos across search results, category pages, ads and the app, each with its own crop. A product centered with breathing room survives every one of those crops; a product touching the edge gets amputated in square thumbnails. The auto-framing here gives your product even margins on all sides, so the first photo works everywhere Etsy shows it.
Batch workflow for a shop update
- Keep the Etsy preset selected (it already is on this page).
- Drop up to 50 photos. Each is processed in order, and you can download finished images while the rest are still working.
- Use the ZIP download to grab the whole shop update in one file.
Handmade items with irregular shapes (jewellery, ceramics, textiles) are exactly where automatic background removal earns its keep: no more masking hair-thin chains by hand.
Every tool here follows the same rule
Whatever you came to do, it happens on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and none of it costs anything.
Your images are still on your device
That is the whole idea. Drop them, take the results, close the tab. Nothing was sent anywhere and nothing was kept.
