Free WebP to PNG converter

Create widely compatible PNG files while keeping WebP dimensions and transparency. Processing stays entirely on your device.

Why convert WebP to PNG?

PNG is useful when an editor, CMS, or design workflow rejects WebP but needs transparency. Cutflow converts the visible image to PNG without changing its dimensions or adding another lossy encode.

Conversion cannot restore detail missing from a lossy WebP. It preserves the decoded appearance and alpha channel in a PNG file, which may be larger than the source.

WebP and PNG for transparent images

PNG favors compatibility and preservation of decoded pixels, often at the cost of a larger file.

Why there is no quality slider

PNG uses lossless encoding. A quality slider would not sharpen the image or recover information removed before conversion.

Cutflow shows the file size difference and a before and after preview instead. Check transparency, edges, and detail before downloading.

How to convert WebP to PNG

  1. Drop your WebP files. Add one image or a batch of up to 50 files.
  2. Inspect the PNG. Check transparency, dimensions, and the file size change.
  3. Download. Save PNG files individually or in one ZIP.

FAQ

Does WebP to PNG conversion lose quality?

PNG encoding adds no loss. It preserves the decoded WebP pixels, including defects already present in a lossy WebP.

Is transparency preserved?

Yes. When the source WebP contains an alpha channel, the output PNG keeps its transparent areas.

Why is the PNG larger?

PNG stores pixels without loss. A well compressed WebP photo can therefore become much larger as PNG.

Can I convert an animated WebP?

Cutflow produces a still PNG image. It does not preserve the separate frames of a WebP animation.

Choose the right WebP output

Keep transparency with PNG or favor compatibility and smaller photos with JPG.

Every tool here follows the same rule

Whatever you came to do, it happens on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and none of it costs anything.

Your images are still on your device

That is the whole idea. Drop them, take the results, close the tab. Nothing was sent anywhere and nothing was kept.
